Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person relates to and communicates with other people and the world around them. According to the National Autistic Society, there are around 1 in 100 people with autism. In this interview of episode TTT : 012 with the inspirational and internationally known Dr. Wenn Lawson (formerly known as Wendy Lawson), we talk about what autism is and debunk many of the myths surrounding Autism and Asperger Syndrome.

It’s not that I suffer from autism, it’s that I suffer from a world that does not understand autism.

Dr Wenn also gives a fascinating insight into what life is like for him as an autistic adult and shares some useful strategies and adaptations that could be useful for individuals with autism or parents, carers and teachers of autistic children.
